Marketing Trainee
Marketing
6 Months, Munich
You are beginning the trainee program in the marketing department of one of our four business units: oncology, hematology, cardiovascular, and immunology & fibrosis. You will contribute to the development of innovative strategies for positioning our products and support. Example: Sales through the creation of materials and the organization and promotion of events.
Internal Sales Rotation (BI&A)
3 Months, Munich
Depending on your interests, and after consultation with the respective departments, two further internal service rotations are part of the marketing program. In the Business Insights & Analytics department, you can contribute to the planning and execution of market research and support the team with budget planning, forecasting and performance analysis.
Internal Sales Rotation (Market Access)
3 Months, Munich
In the Market Access department, you gain knowledge of the strategic processes of entering our medicines into the market, as well as an overview of the political-legal framework conditions in Germany. In your role, you’ll support the team through the AMNOG process, health economic analyses and get to know regional mechanisms for additional price regulation.
Field Service Rotation: Sales
12 Months, Germany-wide when possible
Before your rotation into the field, it will be decided which field area is best suited. Typically, you will move into the appropriate region for this time to conduct local doctor visits and accompanying events. Therefore, there should be a willingness to relocate during your time in the Germany Sales rotation. During your sales engagement, you will visit doctors in practices or clinics, observe developments in your area and be able to proactively react to them. For your customers, you will organize continuing education events and support them at regional and national congresses.
Rotation Planning
The Marketing Program is built around rotations in marketing and field sales. In order to obtain the most holistic picture of the health policy environment during the traineeship, the trainees are recommended to rotate in Market Access, for example. In addition, you can plan further rotations with your supervisor based on your interests, which can then be made possible in consultation with the respective department.
Example rotation options: Strategy & Operations, Digital Marketing, Business Insights & Analytics, Market Access.
Pharmaceutical Representative Training
If you have not completed medical training (such as PTA/MTA) or if you do not have a medical or scientific degree, you will undergo a pharmaceutical speaker training for the marketing program before your field rotation. This is necessary so that you obtain the necessary expertise in accordance with § 75 of the German Medicinal Products Act. The pharmaceutical speaker training is integrated individually into the trainee program for each year. The course that prepares you for the oral and written final exam will last approximately 6 months. Bristol Myers Squibb will pay for the costs of training and testing.
Medical Trainee
Rotation Planning
The Medical Program is your 6-month rotation in Medical Affairs and your 3-month rotation in Regional Clinical Operations.
